  1.as

  首推as,是因?yàn)樗砻婵磥韺?shí)在“太簡(jiǎn)單”,但很多同學(xué)都會(huì)忽略as居然還有because“因?yàn)椤钡囊馑肌?/p>

Although English was then overtaken by German,it developed again in the 19th century as a direct result of the ______.

However, in the 19th century scientific English again enjoyed substantial lexical growth as the industrial revolution created the need for new technical vocabulary.(C5T2P3)

  這題中,as 就并不是“像,或作為”而是與as a result of 同義,用作“因?yàn)椤薄?/p>

  as a result of -----------as

e.g. Tired as they were, they walked on.

  2.demanding

  那看下這道判斷題,T/F/NG

題目:A is more demanding than B.

原文:A is more difficult than B.

Making a rapid emotional assessment of the events of the moment is an extremely demanding job for the brain,

One of the brain's most difficult tasks is to respond instantly to whatever is happening.

  difficult tasks ---------------demanding job (C5T2P2)

題目:Prior to the suggestopedia class, students are made aware that the language experience will be demanding.

原文:Through meeting with the staff and satisfied students they develop the expectation that learning will be easy and pleasant.  (C7T1P3)

Pictures were still, only reality moved。 后半部move對(duì)應(yīng)still。(C6T3P1)

  4.subject

The noise was quite disruptive at first, but after about four minutes the subjects were doing just as well on their tasks as control subjects who were not exposed to noise. (C7T4P3)

  5.term

真題:the term used to describe hidden costs.

  6.refer to as

  除了term有專業(yè)詞匯的意思,refer to as 也表示“…

  這里要注意區(qū)別 refer to “參考,查閱,涉及”和refer to as… “…

e.g.1 真題原文:That is mainly because the costs of all this damage are what economists refer to as "externalities"。

e.g.2 真題題目:Plants which do not respond to light levels are referred to as_______.

Plants which flower after a period of vegetative growth, regardless of photoperiod, are known as day-neutral plants. (C5T4P3)

refer to as ------------are known as

  7.appreciate

e.g.1 真題原文:If you visit the Canadian Arctic, you immediately appreciate the problems faced by people for whom this is home. (C6T2P3)

e.g.2 But now she appreciates she had the chance to be bilingual.
