大部分的童話故事都以“公主和王子從此過著幸福生活”的圓滿結局來收尾，但很少有人知道王子和公主背后的婚姻生活會是如何。

　　《絕望的主婦》這部劇中四位女主角分別代表了四種迥然不同的主婦形象：離婚主婦Susan、完美主婦Bree、女強人主婦Lynette、漂亮主婦Gabrielle，每個人都試圖讓自己在鄰居們面前顯得更幸福、更體面，她們的生活看上去完美無缺，但每個人心里都默默藏著不可告人的秘密。

　　一、主演發(fā)音地道、日常用語豐富

　　這部美劇以日常生活為主線，地道用語十分豐富，主演的發(fā)音絕大多都是Standard American English，尤其是五個主婦的發(fā)音。經常的模擬練習和反復的觀看收聽，可以很好的鍛煉和提高聽力、口語水平，糾正大家在斷句和發(fā)音上存在的問題，擴大詞匯量。

　　二、情節(jié)相對獨立，語言難度適中

　　《絕望的主婦》每集大約43分鐘左右，每篇故事顯得相對獨立，大家在學英語的過程中可以一個故事一篇總結，一個場景一個回味。另外，這部電視劇的語言比較通俗易懂，語速適中，不緊不慢地將生活原本的樣子娓娓道來，不像有些美劇那樣情節(jié)冗長、術語太多，讓人望而生畏。

　　三、情節(jié)蘊含哲思、妙語層出不窮

　　看過這部劇的寶寶們應該都注意到了，每集的開頭、結尾，包括中間的劇情都適時插入了"畫外音"Narrator的闡釋，這些闡釋所用到的語句和詞匯都非常值得我們耐心琢磨和仔細品讀。如果能很好地吸收并歸為已用，大家今后的寫作和演講會大放光彩。
